List of Charities

The list below includes charities identified as supporting MAAF Objectives or that violate Church/State Separation (also see MAAF's policy on the CFC.  Those that support MAAF Objectives would be those that support 1st Amendment objectives and religious tolerance, especially in the military.  Charities that should not be included are those that openly proselytize religion to non-religious groups, especially the underprivileged.  Missionary work takes advantage of those without the knowledge to see through what may seem like "magic."  It also essentially serves as a bribe, offering essentials like food, shelter, and information in return for submission to religious indoctrination.  Organizations that offer one religious group the opportunity to support people arleady members of the same religion are not included in this list.

This list is originally taken from the 2006 CFC Campaign from www.opm.gov/cfc. Visitors are encouraged to submit updates or corrections to community@maaf.info. The list is separated into four sections: religious freedom and understanding in the military (goto), Evangelism to the military (goto), other evangelistic organizations (goto), and generally religious organizations (goto).
