Claudia Ziebis

Claudia Ziebis, a native of New Jersey, entered active duty in 1981 through the Reserve Officer Training Corps, West Virginia University, Morgantown, WV, and served in the Air Force on Active Duty for 11 years and in the Reserve for 13 years. During 23 years as a public affairs officer, her assignments have included work with special operations, research and development, and media relations at the Pentagon. Claudia retired in 2005 at the rank of Colonel.

Claudia's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Journalism and a Master of Science in Administration. In 1997, Claudia is listed with the UU Thomas Jefferson District Guest Speaker List and speaks regularly in eastern North Carolina about such diverse topics as atheism, Freethought, military service, science, and breast cancer awareness. She has also spoken with the Americans United for Separation of Church and State.
